POINTE SHOE FUND

A female dancer’s performance is dependent on the right pair of pointe shoes. The shoes allow the dancer to stand on the tips of their toes (en pointe) for a prolonged period of time. It is essential that the dancers have quality equipment.

 

Each year Columbia Classical Ballet provides pointe shoes for the company’s female dancers. The purchase price of each pair of shoes is approximately $100, and dancers often require three pairs of shoes per performance. Columbia Classical Ballet spends a significant amount each year for pointe shoes which are of vital importance not only for the performance but for the protection of our ballet dancers. 


Contribute to our pointe shoe fund and make a world of difference to an individual dancer in our company.
