About

Featuring Le Corsaire Suite and world premiere by South African Choreographer Andile Ndlovu!

Le Corsaire suite is an abridged showing of the famous swashbuckling, damsel-saving Pirate ballet tale. Centering around Conrad, a Naval captain, who became leader of a group of Pirates, and Medora, a beautiful maiden who has been enslaved by the cunning merchant Lankendem. Medora's best friend Gulnara is also enslaved along with her, but not for long if Conrad has his say.

The World Premiere of “OSMO" is a piece inspired by osmosis. The idea that society has a way of functioning without us noticing or even thinking about how we move within public spaces, i.e  a process of absorption or diffusion & suggestive of the flow of osmotic action.

“OSMO is my take on how the day to day movement of people is usually effortless, and often in unconscious assimilation” - Andile Ndlovu

Our outreach goal is to provide children, some who may not otherwise have the opportunity, the experience of art in the form of a classical ballet performance.

We hope you, your students, and your families can join us for these spectacular full-length ballet productions. These ballets are presented by our professional company dancers who hail from Japan, Korea, China, France, and the United States.

See you at the ballet!
